Swarovski Foundation Waterschool is a global educational programme designed to empower young people and their communities to become advocates for sustainable water management. Through tools, resources, and hands-on training, Waterschool equips participants to address water challenges in their local environments.

Waterschool operates worldwide in partnership with local organisations, engaging young people aged 8 to 18, along with their families and communities. The programme provides education on sustainable water management, hygiene, and environmental stewardship, with globally developed materials that local partners adapt to address specific water issues in their regions.

Waterschool India

The Swarovski Foundation Waterschool released a mini-documentary with partner WWF India as part of landmark film series Age of Change: The business of survival, produced by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions. This film shines a light on the innovative efforts the Waterschool India implements in schools and the local community to address environmental challenges and secure a nature-positive future for our planet.

Waterschool Brazil

In partnership with FAS Amazonia, the Swarovski Foundation’s project in Beruri, Amazonas, aims to conserve habitats, promote water conservation, and equip students and teachers to extend these efforts to other communities. Now active in over 20 local communities, the Waterschool programme supports schools as information hubs, empowering young people to lead sustainable water management projects.

Waterschool USA

In the USA, the Swarovski Foundation Waterschool programme partners with the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center (NGRREC) to promote sustainable water practices in both rural and urban communities. By fostering a human connection to local watersheds, this partnership empowers students, educators, and the public to protect the Mississippi River through impactful water conservation education.
